Yes. Our online training is recognised by insurers around the world and is designed to enable you to start teaching kids yoga professionally, and your Cosmic Kids certificate provides evidence that you have completed both the course and our practical teaching assessment.

How the certification works #

To receive full certification, you complete Getting Started in Kids Yoga and send us a video of yourself teaching the class provided. Jaime evaluates your teaching against a range of criteria, including yoga instruction, safety, pacing, language, storytelling and performance. She gives you supportive one-to-one video feedback, and you receive your personalised certificate once you meet the required standard.

Who recognises the certificate? #

Cosmic Kids graduates use their certificates when applying to teach in schools, preschools and private settings, and when arranging professional liability insurance. Our training and appraisal process was developed with input from specialist yoga insurer DSC Strand, now Wellbeing Insurance. More than 5,000 people have taken the foundation course, and there are more than 1,000 certified Cosmic Kids teachers in our community.

What else will I need? #

Most schools and venues will also expect suitable professional liability insurance and any safeguarding or background checks required in your country, such as DBS in the UK. Individual employers and insurers can set their own requirements, so if you have a particular organisation in mind, it is sensible to check with them.

What about Yoga Alliance? #

Jaime is a Yoga Alliance Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT) and an experienced registered adult yoga teacher (E-RYT 200). Cosmic Kids certification is not an RCYT 95-hour qualification, but eligible registered yoga teachers can use the training for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours after completing full certification.
