No — you do not normally need Yoga Alliance accreditation to teach kids yoga professionally. It is not the qualification most schools or parents ask to see.

What schools and venues usually expect #

They are more likely to ask whether you have completed suitable kids yoga training, whether you hold professional liability insurance and whether you have the safeguarding or background checks required to work with children.

Our certification process #

Cosmic Kids training includes a practical assessment rather than awarding a certificate simply for watching the course. You submit a video of yourself teaching, Jaime assesses it against our criteria and gives you one-to-one feedback. You receive full certification once you meet the required standard.

About Jaime and Yoga Alliance #

Jaime is a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT) and an experienced registered adult yoga teacher (E-RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. We have not registered Cosmic Kids as a Yoga Alliance Registered Children’s Yoga School, so completing our course does not make you an RCYT.

Continuing Education #

Cosmic Kids training can count towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours for eligible registered yoga teachers once full certification is complete. Continuing Education recognition is separate from RCYT accreditation.
