Jaime's Fantastically Fun Yoga & Mindfulness

Jaime speaks at the NHS ConfedExpo

I had the most incredible time speaking at the NHS ConfedExpo in Manchester! This is one of the biggest and most significant health and care conferences and it was amazing to be a part of!

A Powerful Panel Discussion

I had the honour of joining a panel discussion alongside Karen DeSalvo (Google’s Chief Health Officer), Mesha Moinirad
(Patient advocate and Founder of Hydrostomate, Hydrostomate) and Dr Simi Adedeji (GP Partner and Clinician Creator, NHS).

During the conference we took a deep dive into the latest insights on how patients want to manage their health. This session was focused on patient empowerment, and highlighted the importance of partnership between clinicians, patients and technology in transforming healthcare.

It was such an inspiring conversation!

I’m a huge advocate for getting kids into yoga and mindfulness, so it was amazing to share how technology has helped me and other kids yoga teachers around the world to do just that.

As I mention in the talk, a big reason behind starting Cosmic Kids more than a decade ago was to give kids access to a brilliant physical and mental health toolkit at a much younger age. This was something I felt that I personally didn’t have – and with the help of tech, we can reach more little ones and introduce them to the incredible physical and mental benefits of yoga and mindfulness! πŸŒˆπŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ’ͺ

Finding the Right Balance

Of course, as much as technology has been a game-changer, we have to be mindful of the good and the not-so-good. It’s crucial to find healthy and positive content for kids while striking the right balance with screen time. Getting that balance right is really challenging, but I really believe that if we can find it, then it’s a real game-changer! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ’™

Feeling Inspired and Grateful

The energy at the NHS ConfedExpo was just brilliant! To meet so many people on the same page about how we can use technologies to improve health and wellbeing was so inspiring. I walked away with two big questions to ponder:

  1. How can Cosmic Kids work with the NHS to support all kids with their mental and physical health?
  2. It’s mostly people who are already conscious of the benefit of yoga and mindfulness that find us. How can we make sure our content is found by the people that need it most?

I can’t thank the NHS team and Google Health enough for inviting me to be part of such an incredible event.

Let’s keep embracing technology, promoting wellness, and creating positive digital experiences for little ones. The future looks bright! βœ¨πŸŒŸπŸ’™
